I collaborated with Uncleft- an individualized platform for up-skilling and engaging healthcare professionals in India while learning with the experts in the healthcare field(s).
I being the Sexuality, Mental Health and OT nerd, did what I well- create a course with them!! It's a beginner level course for anyone who wants to understand this area of practice, how it integrated in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Sciences and what can Occupational Therapists do to feel confident and competent while addressing this area of occupation.

I HELPED MY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CLIENT GET SETUP ON A DATING WEBSITE

In episode of Disability After Dark, Andrew and I sit down to talk about my experiences as a sick child, and how my love of the human body, multiple disabilities and other factors meant that being an OT chose me.
I also share the cultural differences of being an OT in India versus in North America, how views are changing around that, and we learn the difference in what it means to “live independently” in India and we talk about dating, sex and disability + so much more! Enjoy!

THE CIRCLE OF LIFE: SEXUALITY THROUGH EARLY LIFE STAGES

Natural and healthy sexual exploration during childhood is an information gathering process. At a very young age, children begin to explore their bodies by touching, poking, pulling, and rubbing all their body parts, including their genitals. Hence, it becomes essential for children to learn about sexuality throughout the course of their life. The more information that parents have about psycho-sexual development, the better will they be able to respond to their child's behaviours.
